Artist Statement
"This is Lea's third year participating in the Edmonds Studio Tour alongside her mother Mona Smiley-Fairbanks. Lea began creating polymer clay jewelry back in 2019 as a creative outlet during the pandemic and since has evolved into the business Simply Lea. Each piece of jewelry is handmade with care, blending playful patterns and bold hues to bring joy to your everyday style. Whether you’re dressing up or keeping it casual, her jewelry is sure to add a pop of personality to any look."
Edmonds Connection
Lea was born and raised in Edmonds shaping her sense of community, creativity, and artistic expression. Growing up with an artist mother, Lea was immersed early in creative expression, curiosity and appreciation for self-expression through art. These early influences continue to ground her work and her relationship to Edmonds today.
